MACC GREYHOUND BASKETBALL BANQUET ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9
Conference and Region Awards Announced
The Moberly Area Community College (MACC) Basketball Banquet is set to take place on Wednesday, April 9th at 6:30 pm at the MACC Auditorium located on the Moberly campus. This special evening will honor the outstanding performances of both the women's and men's basketball teams. The event will feature "the voice of the Greyhounds," J. B. Connally from NEMO Pressbox, who will serve as the evening's master of ceremonies.
The Region 16 and MCCAC Conference Awards were announced and the Greyhounds were represented on both squads. Lady Greyhounds named to the All-Region team were Jeannie Scott (1st Team) and Calise Chisholm (2nd Team). Representing the men's team as All-Region selections were Ade Popoola (Player of the Year), KJ Vasser (1st team) along with Javaris Moye, Thomas Diew and Latrell Kyles garnering 2nd team nods. Ade Popoola was also named the MCCAC Conference MVP. Popoola, Vasser and Moye were also named 1st team All-Conference. Coach Patrick Smith was named the MCCAC Coach of the Year. The MACC Men's squad compiled a 26-6 record while winning the Region 16 regular season title (11-1 record) and the MCCAC championship (13-1).
