#12 MACC GREYHOUNDS DEFEAT STATE FAIR AND MINERAL AREA

Host Three Rivers on Saturday in Region 16 contest

The Moberly Area Community College Men's Basketball Team improved their record to 23-4 with Region 16 victories over State Fair Community College and Mineral Area College. Against State Fair, Moberly jumped out to a 56-35 halftime lead and ended up winning the contest 99-72. Ade Popoola lead the Greyhounds in scoring with 31 points (5-7 from 3 pt. range) and 10 rebounds while Latrell Kyles scored 14 points, KJ Vasser had 12 points and Javaris Moye contributed 11 points.

Moberly went on the road this past Wednesday and defeated Mineral Area College 70-53. The Hounds were lead in scoring by Vasser with a game high 26 points and 7 assists(3 treys), Popoola added 16 points (4-6 from behind the arc) and 8 rebounds, Kyles scored 12 points and Thomas Diew added 11 points.

Moberly has now won 21 of their last 22 games while improving their Region 16 record to 9-1 on the season and are currently ranked #12 in the latest NJCAA national rankings. Moberly will host Three Rivers CC on Saturday, February 22 at 7 pm in a key Region 16 contest. The weekend will be Hall of Fame Reunion weekend with the Hall of Fame luncheon at 11:30 am on Saturday.
