A 17 point performance in a 91-51 victory over Missouri Valley J.V. last night allowed Angelica Wiggins, a 5-9 guard from Toronto, Canada, to eclipse the 500 career point mark at Moberly Area Community College.
Wiggins, who is currently third on the team in scoring average, has now reached double figures in 15 of 25 contests this season as she averages 11.5 points per game. Her 39 three point field goals leads the Lady Greyhounds and she ranks second in assists. She recorded her first career double-double earlier this season in a 13 point, 10 rebound performance against Three Rivers Community College on January 12th.
“Angelica is a phenomenal athlete,” said MACC head coach Chad Killinger. “She can score in a variety of ways, but her ability to rebound, find the open teammate, and make timely plays on the defensive end of the floor have been a huge factor in our success this season. I’m excited to see how she continues to develop at the next level and know that her best basketball is still ahead of her.”
