Bio
Cheyanne Daniels joined the Moberly Area Community College women’s basketball program as an assistant coach in July 2025.
During her collegiate athletic career at Southeastern Louisiana University, Daniels played two seasons with the Lady Lions and aided the team in extending its record breaking five consecutive winning seasons. She helped Southeastern to a historic 26-6 overall record alongside a 19-1 mark in Southland Conference play in the 2024-25 season. The Lady Lions won the SLC regular-season title for the second time in program history and gained their third championship appearance in the Southland Conference Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship.
In the 2023-24 season, Daniels led Southeastern in blocks (30) and averaged 8.6 points per game with 5.1 rebounds. The newcomer scored a career high 22 points at SLU and claimed nine double-doubles that season to help Southeastern make it to the SLC Tournament Semifinal. In her final season, Daniels ranked second on the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 8.1 points per game and 5.1 rebounds. The center helped the Lady Lions secure its best regular season record in program history while tying for the best record in Southland Conference history. Daniels ended the season with 12 games in double figures as SLU gained its first appearance in the Women’s Basketball Invitation Tournament.
Prior to Southeastern, Daniels played at Shawnee Community College. Daniels averaged 16.4 points per game and 10.8 rebounds in her last season at Shawnee CC. The junior college product claimed a career high 28 points and 21 rebounds for the Saints. Daniels prepped at Miami Senior High School, where she led her team to a Junior Orange Bowl title in 2018 and won two regional championships in 2015 and 2017.
Daniels earned her bachelor’s degree in General Studies at Southeastern Louisiana University in May 2025.
