Softball Finishes Fall Scrimmage Season and Release Spring Schedule

The MACC Greyhound softball team wrapped up the fall scrimmage season with a respectable record of 7-7-1. It was a season filled with ups and downs, but the team showcased their potential and finished the season strong. "Looking forward to the spring season, there is much to be excited about," notes head coach Matt Bauer.

Bauer summarizes the scrimmage experience, "Throughout the fall, we witnessed significant growth and improvement in the team's performance. The players exhibited their skills, determination, and passion for the game. The results of their hard work and dedication were evident in the way we played. We faced tough opponents and overcame challenging situations, all while gaining valuable experience and building stronger bonds as a team."

Heading into the competitive spring season, Bauer expects the Hounds to maintain focus, work hard, and continue to come together as a unified force. "The season ahead will present plenty of learning opportunities. We know that we will face experienced opponents. But I am confident that this team has the mindset and the determination to grow and succeed. Each match up will be an opportunity to refine our skills, strengthen our weaknesses, and grow as athletes," predicts Bauer.

The spring season officially kicks off February 16th at the Sun Chief Classic in Gulf Shores, Alabama. This tournament will serve as a benchmark for the Greyhounds. It is an exciting opportunity to measure progress and set the tone for the rest of the season.
