MACC GREYHOUNDS DEFEAT SOUTHEASTERN IOWA 65-56
#5 Moberly wins 14th straight, hosts State Fair Saturday
The #5 ranked Moberly Area Community College Men's Basketball Team defeated #21 nationally ranked Southeastern lowa CC 65-56 on Wednesday evening at Fitzsimmons-John Arena. Moberly jumped out to an 41`-32 lead at the half behind 26 first half points by guard Tedric Washington and never relinquished the lead in the tight contest. Washington lead Moberly with 29 points (8-12 from three point range) while Jaheim Tanksley , Raeshaun Ambris and Brandon Hall added 10 points each. Tre'von Spillers added 11 rebounds and 10 blocked shots while Tanksley assisted on 6 buckets. Southeastern Iowa drops to 19-8 on the season with the loss.
The game was sponsored by Greyhound Boosters John and Della Cochran/Valentine Insurance Agency. Moberly improved to 24-3 with their 14th consecutive victory and will host State Fair Community College on Saturday, February 18 in a women's and men's doubleheader at 5 and 7 pm.
