The NJCAA Region 16 Men’s Basketball Champions, Moberly Area Comm. College Greyhounds, will travel to the Chicago area to play the NJCAA District IV Championship game against Triton College. The game will be in River Grove, Illinois at Triton College with game time at 7:00 pm. Triton is currently 30-3 on the season after defeating Highland CC in the finals of NJCAA Region IV this past Monday evening. Moberly stands 26-6 on the season while winning 19 of their last 20 games and going undefeated in Region 16.

“It’s so great to still be playing this time of year, first of all,” said Coach Pat Smith, “Triton won the NJCAA Division II National Title a year ago and made the jump this year to Division I. They have a very athletic, good basketball team as evidenced by their record and beating a very good Highland Team in in the regional finals. When you get to this point of the season, every team is good and this should be a great college basketball contest. WE look forward to getting back on the court today to start our preparation for this District Finals.”

The winner of the District IV Championship will receive an automatic berth in the NJCAA National Tournament March 18-23 in Hutchinson, Kansas.
