“A very tough loss against a really good Triton team,” said Coach Patrick Smith, “I really commend our players for their effort in the comeback, then to be in a position to win the game and falter is obviously very disappointing. During the last three minutes they made every play and we made none. I take the blame as we didn’t get the scoring opportunities we needed and couldn’t get any stops. However, I give a lot of credit to Triton and Coach Christiansen for their efforts and performance. We’ve played two very good teams and lost two close games so it’s evident that we’re close but still must learn how to win these games. it’s a different type of year and it’s back to the drawing board and moving on.”

Moberly drops to 5-2 with the loss and Triton improves to 6-1. Moberly returns to action on Tuesday evening as they host North Central Missouri College at 7 pm.
