MACC GREYHOUNDS WIN TWO GAMES IN STATE FAIR CLASSIC

Defeat Lewis and Clark, Westminister JV’s.

The Moberly Area Community College Men’s Basketball Team won two games this past weekend at the State Fair Classic in Sedalia,Mo.    Moberly defeated Lewis and Clark 107-58 on Friday and then came back to get a victory over Westminister JV’s 116-41 on Saturday evening.  Against Lewis and Clark CC (Illinois Region 24 squad) Moberly lead 38-24 at the half and spurted early in the second half to blow the game open.  Sophomore guard Michael Thomas lead the Greyhounds with 20 points while returnees Sincere Parker and Tyren Moore had 18 points respectively along with 6’8” post Dorian Staples contributed 12 points.  Parker and 6’10” post Jimmy Bell lead the rebounding with 7 caroms each.

Against Westminister, Moberly grabbed a 58-17 victory in cruising to the victory. 6’6” sophomore forward Mardaryeon Clark lead MACC in scoring with 22 points, 6’6” forward Makalani Kafele added 16 points,  Michael Thomas scored 15 points, freshman James Dent contributed 14 points and Parker added 11 points.

Moberly returns to action on Tuesday, November 23 with a double header vs. Metropolitan CC with games beginning at 5 and 7 pm.  Moberly improved their record to 5-2 this season with the two victories.

MACC GREYHOUNDS SPLIT IN ORSCHELN CLASSIC

MOBERLY, MO:   The MACC Greyhounds opened their 2022-23 basketball season in the Orscheln Classic splitting two games as they defeated Link Year Prep 93-60 but were defeated in the
