“Great weekend of really good Jr. College Basketball,” said Moberly Coach Pat Smith, “I applaud our guys for a good comeback against Highland and getting a quality win. Indian Hills is a really good, extremely well coached team and and felt it was a tough, slugfest type of game with two teams who really guarded. However, felt our offense really let us down and let to the outcome in terms of missing hittable shots, decisions we made and shot selection and needed better player with ball movement. Great game to learn from, both as coaches and players, and can really help us as we move forward. Still had our chances but must eliminate the bad possessions.”
In other games in the classic, Indian Hills defeated State Fair 77-48 and Highland over State Fair 64-62 on Saturday. Moberly returns to action this Sunday in the Missouri-Illinois Classic at St. Louis CC against Parkland.
