The Moberly Area Comm. College Men’s Basketball Team has had changes to their game schedule for the John Wood CC Trailblazer Classic on Dec. 30-31. MACC will play Henry Ford CC (Michigan) on Sunday, Dec. 30 and then play John Wood CC on Monday, December 31 with both games at 1:00 pm on the John Wood Classic. The other game in the classic will be Henry Ford vs. John Wood on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 7:00 pm. The classic had originally been scheduled for Dec. 29-30 but the format was changed due to Glen Oaks CC(Michigan) dropping out at within the last 10 days.

“This is an just an unforeseen circumstance and I feel for John Wood CC as it’s your worst nightmare,” said Coach Pat Smith, “However, we improvised and will be playing two very good teams so should be good competition as we near the start of conference and region seasons. Our players are back today (December 26) and while we enjoyed our break, very anxious to get back to work and continue the progress we made at the end of the first semester while winning the Highland CC Tourney again. This is the semester that counts and should be a very exciting semester of Greyhound Basketball.”

Moberly is currently 10-5 after the first semester with the first home game of the second semester being on January 5 vs. Southeastern Iowa at 7 pm.
