“We had trouble defensively stopping West Plains the entire evening,” said Coach Pat Smith, “However, we got enough stops and were very good offensively, especially in sharing the ball and playing off the hot hand. We had some systematic breakdowns that allowed a very talented West Plains squad to get on some rolls and we need to correct those before Saturday. Still a great win, respect how our guys have shown up every night and we must continue to seek improvement in all areas of our game. Our Region 16 is very good this season and we must continue to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead starting with an outstanding Mineral Area team on the road Saturday.”
Moberly improved to 20-4 on the season, 7-0 in the MCCAC Conference and 5-0 in Region 16. They will play again on Saturday, February 1 as they travel to play at Mineral Area with a 7:00 pm tip off.
