#16 ranked Greyhounds improve to 19-3
The #16 ranked Moberly Area Comm. College Men’s Basketball Team jumped out to an early 15-0 lead and cruised to a 105-52 victory over Graceland University JV’s 105-52 on Tuesday evening at the Fitzsimmons-John Arena. The Hounds were lead in scoring by 6’4” sophomore forward Marshawn Blackmon with 19 points and 9 rebounds, 6’5” freshman forward Sean Miller-Moore had 14 points, 6’6” sophomore forward JaQualis Matlock had 12 points and 8 rebounds, 5’10” sophomore guard Tyrone Alston added 12 points and 6’3” sophomore guard Randy Miller, Jr. rounded out the double digit scoring with 10 points. Gonzalez lead Graceland in scoring with 14 points and Rinne added 12.
“I was very pleased with the effort and substance that our players brought into this game,” said Coach Patrick Smith, “It’s a break in our regional schedule and it was a productive, fun night overall. Now it’s back into Region 16 play as we go to to Three Rivers Saturday. Our region is extremely competitive this season and we have to keep stepping our game up in all areas. This is an exciting time of the year.”
Moberly travels to Three Rivers CC on Saturday for a 7:00 pm Tip off.
