The Moberly Area Community College Lady Greyhounds move to 7-2 on the year with a 62-32 win over Metropolitan Community College on November 26th. Both teams came out to somewhat of a slow start, with the first quarter ending in a tie with a score of 11-11. MACC used some defensive stops to get some easy points in transition in the second quarter, taking a 29-17 lead into the half. The defensive effort continued throughout the second half as the Lady Greyhounds allowed only 13 points.
Sophomore Chatori Tyler led MACC with 18 points, including 5 three pointers, and 10 rebounds. Freshman DeAnna Wilson recorded her 5th double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Kaysie Newson added 9 points.
The Greyhounds are back in action this weekend at the MACC Thanksgiving Classic, hosted with the MACC men’s program. The Greyhounds take on Kennedy King at 5:00pm on Friday, Nov 29th and Lindenwood-Belleville on Saturday, November 30th at 5:00pm.
