Two more wins over Region XVI opponents have moved the Moberly Area Community College Lady Greyhounds to 17-3 and 3-0 in region play. The Lady Hounds defeated State Fair Community College 114-49 on Wednesday, January 15th and defeated Mineral Area College 69-54 on Saturday, January 18th. MACC had previously defeated Three Rivers Community College by a score of 90-74.
The Lady Greyhounds have now won 7 in a row and 10 of their last 12 contests.
“I’m proud of our team’s progress to this point in the season, but we still have several areas that we would like to improve. I am happy with our balance in scoring and the versatility of lineups that we’re able to put on the floor. We have had several different players step up in games to help us win and I believe we still have a couple kids on our bench that will have break-out games this season,” said Coach Hana Haden.
The Lady Greyhounds are currently ranked 9th in NJCAA Division I in scoring defense, allowing only 51.1 points per contest.
Next, the Lady Greyhounds take on Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri on Wednesday, January 22nd at 6:00pm.
