The Moberly Area Community College women’s basketball team will host the Culver-Stockton College Wildcats in a scrimmage on October 16 at 5:00pm. The scrimmage will be open to MACC booster club members, season ticket holders, and family members of the players and coaching staff. Masks will be required for entry and social distancing will be enforced.
Culver Stockton finished last season with a record of 20-11 and qualified for the NAIA National Tournament before the season was cut short due to Covid-19. Former Lady Greyhound and All-Region XVI selection Kaysie Newson (East St. Louis, IL) is now a junior at Culver-Stockton.
“Our team is definitely excited to take the floor against someone other than ourselves,” said head coach Hana Haden. The Lady Greyhounds have been in official practice since September 21st. “This will be a great tool for us to see where we’re at very early in the season. Playing against the experience of juniors and seniors will be beneficial for our players.”
The Lady Greyhounds return seven players from last year’s squad that went 29-4 and were MCCA Co-Champions, Region XVI Champions, Central District Champions and NJCAA Tournament Automatic Qualifiers.
