The Moberly Area Community College women’s basketball team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 82-48 win over Missouri Baptist JV at home on November 9th. Shania Liburd led the Lady Greyhounds with 12 points and 5 rebounds while Darryn Zeigler and Bi’Anna Pettis chipped in 11 points and 10 points, respectively.
Head coach Hana Haden was pleased with the win but says her team will have to be better as the competition improves moving forward.
“Of course we are glad to be 4-0, but we know that there are several things that we will have to do much better as a team to give ourselves an opportunity to win against teams like Wabash Valley and Vincennes, who we play this upcoming weekend. We will have to have a much better focus on boxing out and rebounding the basketball.”
The Lady Greyhounds travel to Mount Carmel, IL to compete in the Wabash Valley Classic on Nov. 15 and Nov 16. They Will take on Vincennes University on Friday, Nov 15 at 5:00pm and take on the hosts, Wabash Valley, on Nov. 16 at 3:00pm.
