Lady Greyhound head coach Hana Haden has announced the addition of 5’4 point guard Shannon Lise to their 2019-2020 incoming class. Lise is a native of Riverview, FL where she competed for Tampa Bay Tech High School and the Essence Girls’ Basketball organization during the summers. Lise was a three time All County and All Conference selection before missing her senior season due to an ACL injury. She was a three year starter at Tampa Tech Bay Tech, a powerhouse program at the 8A level in the state of Florida and won the Florida 8A State Championship in 2019.
Coach Haden likes the depth that Lise adds at the point guard position, “Shannon checks all the boxes in what we look for in a point guard. She is a leader who has a great feel for the game and how to make others better, she can score at all three levels, she is a great on-ball defender and she plays with fire and intensity. She has played with and against the best competition both in the high school and summer seasons.”
Lise is the fifth newcomer to the Lady Greyhound roster, joining B’Aunce Carter, Bryce Dower, Kayla Langley and Kori Tomlin. The Lady Greyhounds also return five players from last year’s roster in Taylor Lawson-Hicks, Shania Liburd, Kaysie Newson, Chatori Tyler and Darryn Zeigler.
