and Tre’von Spiller (6’8” forward, Soph., Charleston, SC/USC Salkehatchie).

Hall is transferring from Division I East Tennessee State University where he redshirted this past season. He played his high school basketball at Thornton HS in Chicago where he averaged 18 ppg and 9 rebounds per contest during his senior season.  Hall was named First Team All-State and 1st Team All-Conference as he leads Thornton to a 33-1 record.

Gordon is a 6’7”, 230 lb. forward from Mt. Vernon High School where he averaged 18.6 ppg, and 11.1 rebounds along with 1.5 blocks per contest during his senior campaign.  This past season at Olney Central CC(IL.), Gordon averaged 11.5 points per game along with 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists while scoring a career-high of 26 points vs. Kaskaskia College in the regional tournament.

Ambris is a very athletic, versatile 6’4” wing who will be transferring from Angelina CC(TX.) where he averaged 11.1 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists per contest last season.  Ambris made 40 three-pointers during the season with 16 double-figure games while starting all 28 contests. Spiller is a 6’8” athletic forward from Charleston, SC.  He played his high school basketball at Military Magnet Academy where he averaged 25.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 4.3 blocks per game during his senior season.  He will be transferring from USC Salkehatchie CC where he played this past season and averaged 7.7 points per game along with 4.5 rebounds.  Spiller shot 57% from the field and posted 11 double-figure scoring games with a season-high of 19 points and 10 rebounds.

“The nature of college basketball these days is constant change and each season remodeling your roster,” said Coach Patrick Smith, “We obviously lost some very good players from a really good team who will be playing at the 4-year level next season.  However, we believe in reloading at MACC, and with the previous recruits signed coupled with these additions, feel we have positioned ourselves to be a quality team again next season.  Hall is a very, tough physical guard who is just a very good all-around player that really knows how to win.  We recruited Gordon hard out of high school and gives us a player who can score inside and outside as well as board the ball.  Ambris is just a super athlete who is so versatile and can truly play all 4 perimeter positions and combines driving and shooting ability.  Washington is a flat-out scorer and all-around player who is so good with the ball in his hands creating for both himself and others.  Spiller is another superb athlete who combines unbelievable jumping ability with a good skill package as well as being a shot blocker.  We are very pleased to have these five student-athletes join our Greyhound Program and feel good about our roster at this time with our combination of transfers and incoming freshmen.”

Moberly finished 28-7 last season while winning the Region 16 and Midwest District Championships and reaching the NJCAA Sweet 16 at Hutch.
