FORMER MACC GREYHOUND NAMED CONFERENCE USA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Former MACC Greyhound standout Leonard Harper-Baker(2015-17) , currently a starting forward for the University of Southern Mississippi men’s squad, was named as the Conference USA Player of the Week for this past week.

Former MACC Greyhound standout Leonard Harper-Baker(2015-17) , currently a starting forward for the University of Southern Mississippi men’s squad, was named as the Conference USA Player of the Week for this past week. Harper-Baker, who started for the Greyhounds and averaged 10 ppg and 9 rebounds during his career, had an outstanding week for the Golden Eagles. Against Western Ky. University, he had 18 points and 15 rebounds and followed that with a 15 point, 14 rebound effort vs. Marshall University. His 9.7 rebounds per game ranks third in the Conferene USA and he has recorded four double-doubles this current season.

“We are extremely pleased and proud of Leonard for his award last week and his fine play all season,” said Moberly Coach Patrick Smith, “He’s a young man who was so valuable to our program for two seasons with a trip to Hutch and a 27-5 season the following year. He worked very hard on and off the court to achieve what he’s been able to accomplish both at Moberly and the Division I level.”
