MACC GREYHOUND BASKETBALL TO HOST MEET AND GREET SCRIMMAGE

The Moberly Community College Greyhound Basketball Booster Club will host the Basketball Meet-and-Greet Scrimmage at the Fitzsimmons-John Arena on Thursday, September 15. The event will begin with the Lady Greyhounds doing an inter-squad scrimmage at 5:30 pm followed by the Men’s Basketball Team scrimmaging at 6:00 pm. Both teams will be introduced and there will be a Pot Luck dinner for the squads and boosters at approximately 6:45 PM. There will be free admission to the event but attendees are welcomed to bring food dishes to assist with the meal.

Both teams are coming off National Tournament appearances and will open their seasons on Nov. 4 in the Orscheln Classic.

MACC GREYHOUNDS SCORING CAMP JULY 25-28

For Girls and Boys Grades 2-12

The Moberly Area Community College Basketball Program will be conducting the MACC Greyhound Scoring Basketball Camp July 25-28 at the Fitzsimmons-John Arena on the Moberly campus. The camp will be open to girls and boys grades 2-12 and be from 9:00 am until noon each day. The emphasis of the clinic will be on shooting form and technique, offensive footwork, 1-1 post and perimeter movements, dribble attack movements, off the ball cuts along with daily contests, competitions and team play. The costs per camper will be $65 ($55 each on family plan) with each participant receiving an MACC Greyhound Basketball T-shirt.

MACC GREYHOUND ATHLETIC BANQUET ON SATURDAY, APRIL 9

Honoring both Greyhound National Tournament Squads

The Moberly Area Community College Athletic Banquet will be on Saturday, April 9 beginning at 6:00 pm in the MACC Auditorium. The Banquet will be honoring both Greyhound Basketball squads who participated in the NJCAA National Championships along with the MACC Greyhound Cheerleaders.

The event will start with a catered meal at 6:00 pm with the squads being honored afterwards by their respective coaches. 

The cost for the banquet will be $20 per person.

 The Lady Greyhounds finished 26-6 on the season under the direction of Coach Hana Haden and received an At-Large berth to the NJCAA National Tournament. 

The MACC Cheerleaders were strong supporters of both teams this season under Coach Shauna Gilbert. 

The Men’s Basketball Team finished the season 28-7, won 6 championships along with  the NJCAA Region 16 Title and Midwest District Championship participating in the NJCAA Sweet 16 at the NJCAA National Tournament.
