MACC GREYHOUNDS CELEBRATE YEAR OF ACCOMPLISHMENT

Banquet held this past Saturday

The Moberly Area Community College Men’s Basketball Team celebrated their very successful 2021-22 season with their Athletic Banquet on Saturday, April 9.  The Greyhounds had the following team accomplishments from this past season:

 1.     28-7 Record overall 
        (6th straight full Season of 25 or more wins)

2.     Region l16 Tournament Champions
        (defeated #13 ranked Mineral Area 86-82 in OT)
         3rd Regional Title in  seasons

3.     Midwest District Champions
         (defeated #10 ranked Triton College 83-74)
         3rd District Championship in last 4 seasons

4.     NJCAA Sweet 16 Participant in Nationals at Hutch:
         (defeated #16 ranked Pearl River 95-89 in OT)
         (lost to #1 ranked Salt Lake CC 83-86)

5.     MCCAC Co-Champions   (10-3 record)

6.     12 game winning streak at end of season(longest in Nation)

7.     #22 National Ranking in final NJCAA Poll.

8.     Highland CC Christmas Tournament Champions (8 team tourney)
          5th title in last 6 seasons

MACC GREYHOUND ATHLETIC BANQUET ON SATURDAY, APRIL 9

Honoring both Greyhound National Tournament Squads

The Moberly Area Community College Athletic Banquet will be on Saturday, April 9 beginning at 6:00 pm in the MACC Auditorium. The Banquet will be honoring both Greyhound Basketball squads who participated in the NJCAA National Championships along with the MACC Greyhound Cheerleaders.

The event will start with a catered meal at 6:00 pm with the squads being honored afterwards by their respective coaches. 

The cost for the banquet will be $20 per person.

 The Lady Greyhounds finished 26-6 on the season under the direction of Coach Hana Haden and received an At-Large berth to the NJCAA National Tournament. 

The MACC Cheerleaders were strong supporters of both teams this season under Coach Shauna Gilbert. 

The Men’s Basketball Team finished the season 28-7, won 6 championships along with  the NJCAA Region 16 Title and Midwest District Championship participating in the NJCAA Sweet 16 at the NJCAA National Tournament.
