The Lady Greyhounds have rounded out their 2019-2020 roster with the addition of freshman Jamila Nansikombi, a 6 foot guard/forward from Kampala, Uganda. Nansikombi graduated from St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School in Kampala and has competed for the Ugandan National Team and the FIBA 3x3 team in both the World Cup and the African Championships.

Head coach Hana Haden feels that Nansikombi’s speed and length will fit nicely into her plan to play up-tempo basketball.

“Jamila is an exceptional athlete and very explosive in transition and attacking the basket. She will help us to be disruptive on the defensive end and then hopefully that translates into easy points on offense. There will be a transition with it being her first time playing in the U.S., but I believe her international playing experience will be valuable to her and to our team.”
