The Lady Greyhounds announce the fourth addition to the 2019-2020 roster in 6’2 post player Kayla Langley. Langley is originally from Spring Hill, Florida where she eclipsed the 1,000 point mark during her junior season at Nature Coast Technical High School before playing her senior season at DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida. Langley played 31 games for DME Academy, averaging 7.9 PPG and 5.8 PRG while shooting 58% from the floor. DME went 27-11 in her senior season, facing some of the premiere high school and prep school competition in the country. Langley also competed for East Gulf United on the AAU circuit for Coach Tyrone Hodges.

“Kayla brings a huge presence inside for us with her size and versatility. Not only does she finish well around the basket, rebound, and block shots, but she also has the ability to step out and shoot it from 15 feet. She has played in some very good programs for some great coaches and she continues to get better each season. I’m really looking forward to her joining our program and the dimension she adds to our team, but more importantly to add a very high character young woman to our Lady Greyhound family,” said Head Coach Hana Haden.

Langley was a Repeat All-County selection for Nature Coast Technical where she competed her first three seasons. She broke the school record scoring 46 points in a game during her junior campaign where she had 23 consecutive games scoring double figures and contributed 17 double-double efforts.
