After finishing second in the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference standings in their first season of competing in the league the Moberly Area Community College women's basketball program had four student-athletes earn either first or second team all-conference recognition.

Freshmen Carnethia Brown and Brianna Perry, along with sophomore Romekia Wallace, were named to the first team, while freshman Anisha George was named to the second team.

Brown averaged a team high 13.7 points per game in conference play. She also led MACC in assists with three per game, to go with 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals. A 5-6 guard, Brown shot 42 percent from the field and 32 percent from the three point line and led the team by shooting 75 percent from the free throw stripe.

Perry also averaged double figures in scoring in MCCAC action as she scored 10.9 points per contest. The 5-9 guard shot 44 percent from the field, including 31 percent from three point range, while averaging 2.6 assists and 2.1 rebounds.

Wallace nearly averaged a double-double against conference foes as she recorded 8.8 points and a team high 10.7 rebounds per game. The 6-0 forward was second in steals (1.4) and averaged just under two assists per game, while shooting 43 percent from the field and 60 percent from the free throw line.

George, a 6-2 post player, scored 8.4 points per game and was second on the team in rebounding as she collected 7.6 per conference outing. She led the team in blocks with two per contest and steals with 1.6 in conference action. George shot 52 percent from the field in conference games and her 61 percent mark from the field on the season currently ranks 10th in the country.

"I'm extremely proud of our girls for earning this recognition," said MACC head coach Chad Killinger. "We came up two possessions shy of winning the conference championship and one possession away from sharing the title, so that should serve as a little extra motivation for next season."
