On the day they moved up to #12 in the NJCAA National Rankings, the Moberly Area Comm. College Men’s Basketball Team defeated St. Louis Prep 146-57 on Tuesday evening at the Fitzsimmons-John Arena. Moberly was supposed to have played Link Year Prep but they had to cancel out late last week due to player injuries.

“In the grind of the season, it’s sometimes good to have a fun night where everyone can play and at the same time work on some areas of your game,” said Coach Patrick Smith, “We would liked to have had a more competitive game but now we have six big games left starting with a very good Mineral Area club on Saturday night. This is the time of the year you work for everyday starting in September so we have to seize the moment, maximize every day and be pointing to playing our best basketball at the end of the season.”

Moberly improved to 21-3 on the season and currently stand 4-0 in Region 16 with a six game winning streak. They return to Region 16 action this Saturday on the road at Park Hills, Missouri as they play Mineral Area College.
