Charleston, Mo. product inks NCAA Division I LOI
Moberly Area Comm. College Men’s Basketball Player Delfincko Bogan has signed an NCAA Letter-of-Intent with the University of Tennesee-Martin. Bogan, a 5’9” combo guard from Charleston, Missouri becomes the first Greyhound from the 16-17 squad to sign with a four year school. Bogan transferred from Jacksonville State to MACC for his sophomore season. He was a major reason that the Greyhounds compiled a 27-5 record, won the NJCAA Region 16 regular season title, MCCAC Conference Championship, was ranked #16 in the final NJCAA Poll and was NJCAA Region 16 Tournament Runner Up. Bogan averaged 12.2 ppg(2nd on team), hitting 59 of 143 three pointers(41.3%), shooting 74% from the FT Line, 3.6 assists per game and 2.7 rebounds per contest. He also lead Moberly in charges taken with 21 and recently received the Most Charges Award, Best Offensive Player and Booster Club Award at their Athletic Banquet.
“I am so pleased and happy for Del,” said Coach Patrick Smith, “It’s not only about the player he was for us on the floor, it’s the type of person he was every single day in representing our program. To be the player he is and has become with his size points to his heart, perserverance and winner’s mentality. My only regret is I only got to coach him one year. Tennessee-Martin got a very good player and I think it’s a perfect fit for both of them.”
Tennessee-Martin is an NCAA Division I program in the Ohio Valley Conference where they finished as Tournament Runner-Ups this past season. They are located in Martin, Tennessee.
