Game between Ranked Teams sponsored by Jerry Swartz and All State Insurance
The 14th ranked Moberly Area CC Men’s Basketball Team will host the 16th ranked Indian Hills Warriors on Tuesday, February 21 at 7:00 pm at the Fitzsimmons-John Arena. Moberly is currently 25-3 on the season and already secured the top seed in the upcoming Region 16 Tournament for next weekend in Jefferson City. Indian Hills stands 25-4 on the season and will be the #1 seed for the Iowa Jr. College Tournament. Indian Hills defeated the Greyhounds 82-67 on Feb. 6, 2017 in Ottumwa, Iowa.
“After a couple of very important regional contests, we now step out of the region to play an outstanding Indian Hills club,” said Coach Patrick Smith, “The last time we played them they completely dominated the tempo of the game and we will have to play better. However, we didn’t do a very good job in our system that night and look forward to the opportunity to change that. For the most part, this club has answered the call every single night and while this is an important game, it’s also a fun game between two very good basketball teams. While regional games are the most important, I sincerely feel Moberly-Indian Hills is one of the best rivalries in all of Jr. College Basketball. We look forward to a great atmosphere tonight at our place.”
This will also be the last regular season home game for sophomores Leonard Harper-Baker, Chauncey Turner, Quattarius Wilson, DeMarco Owens, Mar’Qywell Jackson, Dietrich Cole, Brandon Better and Jabari Antwine.
