Mar’Qywell Jackson newest Greyhound
The Moberly Area Comm. College Greyhound Men’s Basketball Team has added 6’5’ guard Mar’Qywell Jackson to an NJCAA Letter-of- Intent. Jackson will be transferring from Atlantic 10 Duquesne University where he averaged 3.7 points per game, 2 rebounds and hit 19 three pointers for a 17-17 ballclub. Jackson graduated from East Village Prep High School in Detroit in 2014 where he lead the city of Detroit in scoring with 27 points per game his senior season. He originally signed with UTEP out of high school but ended up transferring to Duquesne where he redshirted during the 2014-15 school year. Jackson was rated 89th and 111th nationally in two rankings after his senior season in high school.

“We are extremely pleased to add Mar’Qywell to our roster,” said Hounds Coach Patrick Smith, “He’s a very talented scorer and we felt that was what we needed to add with our last scholarship. He’s a deep range shooter who also has very good athleticism and can play multiple positions. I think, along with our players, gives us very good talent in our backcourt. He’s our fourth signee who has Division I experience and that’s invaluable.”
