Chelsea Faulhaber begins her first season as an assistant coach at Moberly Area Community College, having previously served as a varsity assistant coach at Northside Christian Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina.

A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she graduated from Spartanburg High School, Faulhaber was named All-State as she averaged 15.3 points, 10.1 rebounds and 5.6 blocks per game her senior year. She was the Region III-4A Player of the Year and was selected to both the North-South and Spartanburg vs. Greenville FCA All-Star Games.

Faulhaber began her collegiate playing career at NCAA Division I Jacksonville University in Florida before transferring to Johnson C. Smith University, an NCAA Division II program located in Charlotte. She started in 23 contests over a two-year period before injuries led her to begin pursuing her coaching career as a senior. Faulhaber also competed on the volleyball team during her time at JCSU.

“I’m excited to add Chelsea to our staff,” said MACC head coach Chad Killinger. “Her past experiences as a player at both the NCAA Division I and Division II levels will provide our players with another great resource on what it takes to be successful. It’s obvious that she has a passion for basketball and I look forward to working with her.”

Faulhaber, who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management from Johnson C. Smith, will also serve as the Women’s Dorm Supervisor as part of her duties at MACC.
